Fatima belongs to an average household and is a typical Egyptian Government employee, who stands apart due to her higher educational qualifications, as a Forensic scientist. She loves her job and enjoys getting to the bottom of mysteries and crimes. She is a manager now who draws a decent salary, and following her divorce to Adil, lives her life as a generally conservative lady, who lives on her own, and relies heavily on her intuition. Fatima at times can also be a little obsessive with her habits. Adil and Fatima stay in touch largely due to their son Moutaz who is now a 23 years old student, but she finds herself exploring an undefined relationship with her co-worker - Hassan. The series explores society’s darkest sides through the lens of the many cases of suicide, murder etc.which arrive on Fatima’s desk. It also mirrors these events with scenes from her private life.
