The TMZ Show is a spin off, of the website TMZ.com, the top-ranked celebrity news site. The program offers viewers a glimpse into the partying lives of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears as well as other actors, musicians and celebrity hangers-on. The half-hour show of celebrity scandal caught by paparazzi, made its premiere in early September 2007, after the website became the Internet's top-ranked entertainment news site, with 9.1 million unique visitors, according to tracker com Score Media Metrix in the US. 'TMZ', which stands for "Thirty Mile Zone," a term which originated in the 60s, refers to a "thirty mile zone" of 'on location' shoots, studios and various talent guilds cantered in Los Angeles, around the old offices of The Association of Motion Pictures and Television Producers at Beverly and La Cienega Boulevards in California. It was often said that "Everything entertainment happens in the Thirty Mile Zone." So essentially, the ‘Thirty Mile Zone’ represents the centre of Hollywood.
